Stay visible — even without an open position

Not every company always has an open position. But staying visible still pays off. Jobmaps allows switching between job opening and job profile — in one click.

A position is filled — but the next hire is only a matter of time. On Jobmaps, employers can switch their listings between two types: a job opening for active vacancies and a job profile that signals which kinds of applicants would generally be welcome. Job profiles already existed — what’s new is that switching happens on the same URL.

Job opening and job profile: Two sides of the same coin

A job opening describes a specific vacancy. A job profile shows what kind of applications an employer accepts at any time — even without an active opening. Both use the same questionnaire, the same settings, the same data.

Switching happens directly within the listing via a dropdown menu. All applications, settings, and data are preserved. No new listing, no data loss. The URL stays the same — whether it’s a job opening or a job profile. This turns every listing into a permanent application link that can be used on the company website, in emails, or on social media.

The job profile is the counterpart to the talent pool: employers stay visible on the map, receive applications, and collect candidates in the pool — regardless of whether a position is currently open.
