Set minimum requirements and filter applications

Jobmaps flags applications that miss a minimum requirement from the initial questions and gathers them with one filter.

At a glance

  • Answers to initial questions can be marked as a minimum requirement, such as German skills

  • Applications that miss a requirement show its name as a flag in the applications list

  • The "Requirements not met" filter gathers them, ready for a bulk decline

Many jobs take something for granted: a language, a driving licence, experience in the trade. Jobmaps now shows at a glance which applications don't bring it. Nobody is rejected automatically, the decision stays with the team.

What are minimum requirements on Jobmaps?

A minimum requirement on Jobmaps defines which answer to an initial question an application has to bring. Employers mark one or more answers of a choice question. They give the requirement a short name, for example "Fluent German". Applicants never see the requirement, and Jobmaps does not reject anyone automatically.

It is set in the listing, under the initial questions. Click Set minimum requirement below a question's answers, mark the answers that qualify and check the name. If only one answer can be chosen, any of the marked ones is enough. If several can be chosen, all marked answers must be picked. When the job description states clear requirements, Jobmaps suggests matching minimum requirements along with the proposed questions.

How do you spot applications that miss a requirement?

When an application misses a minimum requirement, its name appears as a yellow flag with ✗ in the application's row. Hovering shows the question and the answer, and a click opens the application right at that answer. In the detail view, every judged answer shows a green ✓ or a yellow ✗.

The Requirements not met filter shows only applications that miss at least one requirement, across all listings. With "Select all" and "Decline" they can be answered in one step (more on bulk replies). Minimum requirements also apply to applications that have already arrived. Rewording a question creates a new question, and earlier answers are then no longer judged.

What changes in the applications list filters?

The filters now sit directly above the list, and the separate filter dialog is gone. The first row holds the search and "All listings". Below it come Unread, "Requirements not met", labels, stages and "Reset filters". Labels and stages allow several choices, and the list updates right away. Adding an application manually now sits in the tab row. On a phone, the filter row scrolls sideways.

Frequently Asked Questions

Where do I set a minimum requirement?

In the listing, under the initial questions. Click "Set minimum requirement" below a choice question's answers, mark the answers that qualify and give it a name.

Are applications rejected automatically?

No. Jobmaps flags applications that miss a minimum requirement but never rejects anyone automatically. Declining stays the team's decision.

Can applicants see the minimum requirements?

No. The flags are visible to the team only. Applicants and guests using a shared link don't see them.

Does a new minimum requirement apply to existing applications?

Yes, as long as the question is not reworded. A reworded question counts as a new one, and earlier answers are then not judged.

Does it work with free-text questions?

No. Minimum requirements can only be set on choice questions, and free-text answers are not judged.
