A completion degree is rarely required—experience, reliability, and physical resilience matter more. For specialists in domestic service, an EFZ (federal diploma) as a domestic specialist is welcome. Depending on the assignment, a category B driving license may be required, sometimes a own car.
Typical are part-time hours at off-peak times—early mornings, around noon, or after 6 p.m.—and often paid by the hour. Weekend shifts are part of care homes and hotels. Good spoken German is required in most advertisements.
