Floral designer jobs in Thun

Floral positions can be found in flower shops and chain stores, in nurseries and garden centers, as well as in the floral departments of retail. In addition, there are more specialized workplaces: hotels with their own floristry – partly as a seasonal position – and social institutions that operate a flower shop.

The core qualification is the EFZ as a florist; for branch or apprentice supervision, professional examination or higher vocational examination come into play. In retail there are also positions as specialized flower salespersons without the floristry EFZ. Everyday tasks include making bouquets, designing arrangements, customer advisory service, cash registers and product presentation – and Saturday work, because that is when the business runs. Part-time hours are common.

The profession combines craft, a sense of design and customer contact; good spoken German is therefore almost always required.
