Process Control Commissioning Engineer

Role and responsibilities

Perform Process Control Commissioning (PRCC) activities, from ODT and hook-up (cold commissioning) through system commissioning and qualification. Execute service, aftersales, and revamping activities at customer sites in Switzerland and internationally. Plan, perform, and document functional, acceptance, and qualification testing in accordance with project requirements and industry standards. Ensure compliance with applicable regulations, GMP requirements, and internal procedures, while proactively reporting deviations and issues. Prepare and maintain commissioning and service documentation, providing clear reporting on project progress, risks, and challenges. Contribute to the continuous improvement of processes, testing methodologies, and system performance by sharing field experience and enhancement proposals.

Qualifications and Skills

  • Completed vocational training as an Automation Technician, Electrical Technician, or an equivalent technical qualification

  • Experience in the commissioning, qualification, or servicing of complex industrial systems is an advantage

  • Strong understanding of PLC and SCADA systems, as well as ODT, FAT, SAT, and qualification processes

  • Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics, technical documentation, and relevant safety requirements

  • Experience working on construction sites and in direct customer-facing environments

  • Hands-on, solution-oriented professional with a strong practical mindset

  • Team player with a strong commitment to quality and safety

  • High willingness to travel for national and international projects (up to approximately 80%, depending on project requirements)
