Global Supplier Quality Engineer – PCBA&Cables

Role and responsibilities
Ensures the execution of the supplier qualification process and that the relevant suppliers are fully qualified and remain compliant with the required standards. Leads improvement projects in collaboration with the on-site Supplier team (Supplier Development). Uses supplier quality management tools and systems for collaboration, reporting, monitoring and disposition of quality, delivery, cost, and compliance metrics. Ensure consistency in the process/product controls performed on the different parts purchased from different ABB Manufacturing Units/ Local Sales Unit (LSOs). Leads in promptly addressing supply issues related to quality, deliveries, non-compliant products, or project services. Promotes early supplier involvement in product development activities to maximize capture of supplier innovation and drive improvements in quality, delivery, cost, and risk management.

Qualifications and Skills
Bachelor’s or master’s degree in electronic or electrical engineering
10+ years of experience in Quality Management roles within a EMS (Electronic Manufacturing Services) Industry
Deep product knowledge of IPC Standard. Being an IPC-A-610/IPC-A-620 trainer is considered a plus
Proven experience in cross-functional and cross-site Quality management, including RCA methodologies, CAPA processes, and KPI-driven performance management
Green Belt of Black belt certifications
Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence and align global teams across different cultures and organizational levels
