Test Engineer Environmental Testing

Plan, prepare and perform environmental simulation tests for internal and external customers, including the preparation of test reports. Operate the Test Center facilities, including vibration and shock systems, pyroshock, centrifuge, temperature and climatic chambers as well as TVAC. Develop and perform measurement tasks for environmental, separation and static tests, including: Acceleration and load measurements, Material strain measurements, Distance measurements, Trajectory determination using high-speed video. Develop test concepts and define appropriate testing methods and test profiles together with customers and internal stakeholders. Advise design and development teams on the technical feasibility of planned tests and ensure that technical requirements, specifications, scope, costs and schedules are considered. Prepare quotations for mechanical testing in accordance with applicable requirements, including ISO/IEC 17025:2017. Plan and coordinate the utilization of test equipment and facilities. Process and analyze measurement data and present test results in a clear and professional way. Ensure the maintenance, calibration and service of measurement and recording equipment. Perform maintenance and repairs on test facilities, measurement equipment and sensors. Prepare and maintain test documentation in accordance with applicable quality and management system requirements.

• Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Aerospace Engineering or a comparable technical field, or an Advanced Federal Diploma of Higher Education (TS/HF) in a technical profession.

• Practical experience with physical testing and measurement technologies.

• Good understanding of measurement technology, electronics/control technology and physics.

• Good computer skills, particularly with MS Windows and common IT tools.

• Fluent German and good English (B2 or higher), both written and spoken.

• Structured and hands-on approach with a strong awareness of quality and tidiness.
