PostDoc position in 3D X-ray histopathology of colorectal tumors

Role and responsibilities
Application and further development of 3D digital histopathology by X-ray phase contrast micro-CT. Development of image processing and ML tools and models for the automated identification and quantification of clinically relevant morphological features in metastatic colorectal tumors and lymph nodes. Data management, data treatment.

Empa’s Centre for X-ray Analytics develops X-ray analytical and imaging methods for understanding materials structure in material, life- and medical sciences. Empa is a research institution of the ETH Domain.
Qualifications and Skills
Completed PhD in X-ray imaging or in a field very closely related
Have a very solid background in the technical and theoretical details of X-ray imaging and in phase contrast techniques
Have very good lab skills
Have preferably experience in the biomedical domain and in image processing
Have preferably experience using ML models and tools (e.g. radiomics) in image processing and very good skills in programming
Fluent in English, (German is beneficial)
