Role and responsibilities
Develop new radiochemical methods and instrumentation for studies of superheavy elements Produce radioisotopes of the lighter homologs of superheavy elements using PSI's large-scale research infrastructure to test and optimize your ideas Perform innovative chemical experiments on superheavy elements at leading accelerator facilities worldwide as part of international collaborations Analyze and interpret experimental data to determine thermochemical properties of the heaviest elements Present your research at international conferences and publish your results in leading peer-reviewed scientific journals

Qualifications and Skills
Master's degree in Chemistry (preferably Physical Chemistry), applicants with a Master's degree in Physics are also encouraged to apply
Highly motivated, curious, and eager to learn
Strong interest in experimental research and the development of new methods and instrumentation
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Team player with good written and spoken English skills
Prior knowledge of radiochemistry is an advantage but not required
