Team / description
The Architecture & Technology (A&T) Doctoral Programme is ETH Zurich’s interdisciplinary educational platform committed to training scholars in research and teaching of technology in architecture. It is offered and managed collaboratively by the chairs of the Institute of Technology in Architecture (ITA). The ITA chairs’ work encompasses diverse aspects of employing science, technology and engineering in architecture, including computational design of buildings and structures, building processes and systems, and digital and robotic construction and fabrication. The programme has a group of 50+ international doctoral students and takes place in the Arch_Tec_Lab, a high-tech zero-emissions building designed and developed by ITA. Doctoral students join one of the participating professorships under the respective professor/mentor, with interdisciplinary involvement from other parties during their studies. ETH Zurich is one of the world’s leading universities specialising in science and technology, renowned for excellent education, cutting-edge fundamental research and direct transfer of new knowledge into society.
