Staff Full Stack Engineer (Java, React)

Role and responsibilities
Partner with Product Managers, UX designers, and EMs to define impactful features and elevate product usability. Drive end-to-end feature development with a strong focus on user experience, ensuring quality through comprehensive unit and integration testing. Architect and guide the technical direction of our cloud-based products, ensuring scalability, reliability, and cost-effectiveness. Take ownership of the team's delivery ability, proactively aiming at successful completion of initiatives. Own the release lifecycle, including deployment, monitoring, and performance optimization of new features in production. Act as a technical point of contact to resolve complex, high-priority production issues impacting our features. Provide technical mentorship, coaching engineers to increase their autonomy, system understanding, and skills. Champion and contribute to efficient development processes. Define and influence the team's long-term technical roadmap and short-term objectives. Initiate and lead significant cross-functional engineering initiatives. Design and execute high-value experiments.

Qualifications and Skills
8+ years of experience as a Software Engineer.
Proven experience as a Staff Engineer, Tech Lead or equivalent leadership level.
Practical experience with both backend (Java) and frontend web development (JS/TS and React).
Excellent abilities of problem solving, and collaborative technical decision-making.
Developing clean and maintainable code, having design patterns and application’s architecture in mind.
Advanced knowledge of engineering processes, software architecture, and systems optimization.
Demonstrated expertise in systems resilience and adopting operational best practices.
Excellent technical skills and a good understanding of Computer Science fundamentals.
Experience architecting cloud-native applications on AWS.
Experience with relational RDBMS (such as Postgres) and SQL.
Code Quality practices (CI/CD, automated testing), constructive code reviews.
Extensive hands-on experience with experimentation, incorporating customer feedback into the development cycle.
Practical experience with distributed systems that serve millions of users.
