Demand Planner

Role and responsibilities

Develop, collect, maintain, and continuously improve short-, mid-, and long-term demand forecasts. Assess accuracy of available information (such as forecast from sales, backlog visibility) to verify their potential usage for forecasting. Development to integrate customer demand, project pipelines, and market trends into forecasts. Lead and monitor the implementation of Frame Agreements with customers. Lead and oversee the implementation and monitoring of price variation clauses. Track orders and proactively inform customers of any price adjustments. Analyze forecast accuracy and implement corrective actions to improve forecast performance. Translate the demand forecast into future production load to provide graph visibility for the S&OP forums. Be involved in new product introductions, phase-ins, and phase-outs by providing demand projections and scenario analyses. Develop and maintain the necessary KPIs.

Qualifications and Skills

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Engineering, Economics, or a related field

  • Minimum 3 years of experience in demand planning, forecasting, or supply chain planning (experience in industrial, energy, or manufacturing environments preferred)

  • Strong analytical skills

  • Advanced Excel skills; experience with Power BI or other analytics tools is a plus

  • Proficiency in ERP and planning systems (SAP, SAP IBP/APO, or similar)

  • Knowledge of S&OP / IBP best practices

  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills

  • English required, German is a plus
