Role and responsibilities
Study direction for analytical studies related to aquatic ecotoxicology studies (based on OECD guidelines) on agrochemicals, pharmaceuticals and industrial chemicals. Perform residue analytics of aqueous and sediment samples from OECD ecotoxicology laboratory tests. Study direction for physicochemical properties according to OECD guidelines (e.g. water solubility, log Pow). Development and validation of analytical methods. Evaluation of study results and reporting. Communication with internal teams and external clients. People responsibility related to the studies within a team of several lab technicians. Working in accordance with the principles of Good Laboratory Practice (GLP).

Qualifications and Skills
Education in chemistry (Master or PhD) with strong focus on analytical chemistry
Professional experience in analytical chemistry
Very good analytical skills, sound knowledge and experience in chromatographic techniques (HPLC, GC, HPLC/MS) as well as sample preparation techniques, including experience in trace level analytical work
Solid understanding of environmental behaviour of chemicals
Preferably with working experience under GLP
Team player with strong organizational skills, flexible in work assignment and work schedule
Fluency in spoken and written English is essential as well as verbal communication in German
