Role and responsibilities
General legal advice in the area of strategic sourcing and IT procurement including e-commerce and digitalization, e.g. online contract formation, distribution of digital customer offerings, incl. Apps etc. Legal advice on contracting in particular, especially by way of drafting and negotiating various sourcing contracts and in particular large international outsourcing contracts. Tailoring of the advice per the above within the context and confines of the various insurance business activities of Zurich. Maintaining the terms and conditions for intra-group agreements and reviewing intra-group agreements from a Group perspective. Provide support to Zurich Capability Centers around the globe. Provide Board Secretariat support to certain Group entities. Lead and develop a team of two specialized lawyers.

Qualifications and Skills
Law degree and Bar exam, preferably from Switzerland
Post graduate degree in foreign jurisdiction and/or foreign working experience is an advantage
At least ten years of relevant experience in the areas of contract drafting and negotiations, preferably in the area of IT/new technologies and the (digital) distribution of offerings/services incl. the associated legal topics (agency law, unfair competition etc.), especially in the context of insurance/financial services
Good knowledge of the captive reinsurance business and experience in drafting, reviewing and negotiating captive reinsurance contracts.
Interest in (new) technology and related legal environment and eagerness to deepen specialist know-how in mentioned areas
Experience in working on global or regional projects and in coordinating lawyers in other jurisdictions
Sound negotiating skills as well as strong communication skills
Fluent written and spoken English and German skills, any other language is a plus
