Role and responsibilities

Act as the day-to-day lead for Group Events, reporting to the Head of Events; guide delivery across formats and support the team through coaching and clear direction. Own end-to-end planning and execution for internal and external events, shaping concepts with stakeholders, building run-of-show plans, and serving as the main point of contact. Raise audience experience and production quality, bringing fresh ideas in format, flow creative and digital storytelling, and embedding sustainable event practices. Lead delivery from brief to post-event evaluation, coordinating cross-functional teams and agencies for larger productions. Manage partners, budgets, timelines and the events calendar; brief and steer external suppliers and production partners to deliver high-quality results within budget. Deliver complex events across live, hybrid and virtual formats (including livestreams/webcasts): attendee journeys, speaker support, venues, suppliers, contracts and on-site/show calling. Keep stakeholders aligned through crisp project communication and documentation across internal teams, clients and vendors. Report on event status and outcomes; capture learnings and continuously improve formats, processes and audience feedback loops. Manage the event technology and tools used to deliver our events (e.g., Cvent and our Global ME database) and work with colleagues and vendors on registration, event apps, streaming and production workflows.
