Senior Chemical Risk Engineer

You visit companies on-site to conduct risk assessments using Zurich methodology, and develop loss scenarios and estimates where no models are available. You initiate and provide individual solutions to industrial clients namely in the chemical industry in Switzerland, in Europe and overseas to effectively reduce risks as well as to communicate these in a clear and concise manner to our customer and underwriters. You support our customers including the chemical industry in developing mitigation and adaptation strategies, especially for property damage and business interruption, but also for other exposures to their operations. You support the development and promotion of new services to fulfill the needs of customers. You contribute to our global network by sharing your knowledge on risk concepts and best practices.

• Completed university degree in Chemistry or Chemical Engineering

• More than 7 years of experience in a comparable position, preferably in risk management in the insurance industry

• Experience in process development or production is of advantage

• The ability to communicate complicated concepts in a clear and compelling manner to all levels of management and stakeholders of various levels of technical proficiency

• Fluency in English and German. French and other languages are of advantage
