Role and responsibilities

Supported by our Subject Matter Experts in fire, you will develop a probabilistic sprinkler effectiveness model, focusing on: Quantifying the impact of sprinklers on expected fire losses, Estimating changes in insurance costs and maintenance costs, Deriving conditions under which sprinkler installation is economically attractive, Contribute to the design and testing of the model (e.g. scenario analysis, sensitivity checks). Qualifications and Skills

  • Enrolment in a university or institute of higher education for the duration of the internship (mandatory).

  • Student in Engineering, Physics or Maths or a related field.

  • First experience in data analysis and a basic understanding of data models (e.g. probabilistic or statistical models).

  • Solid experience with analytical tools such as Excel, Python, R or similar is a plus.

  • Curious mind with problem‑solving skills and an interest in risk.

  • Responsible, detail‑oriented, and able to work independently.

  • Strong oral and written communication skills

  • Fluent written and spoken English is essential.

  • You must be located in Switzerland for the duration of your internship.
