Role and responsibilities
End-to-End Ownership: Set the visual and conceptual direction for a major product area across mobile, desktop, and web platforms.
Security & Privacy UX: Design intuitive patterns for complex cryptographic and security flows, ensuring high-stakes actions are foolproof and transparent.
User Research & Discovery: Lead discovery for ambiguous product problems, select the right research methodologies, and translate user insights into concrete design decisions.
Design System Governance: Help evolve and scale our cross-platform design system, establishing clear governance and adoption workflows.
Cross-Functional Leadership: Partner as a peer with Product and Engineering leads to shape the roadmap, balance technical trade-offs, and defend design decisions to leadership.
Emerging Tech UX: Shape how we approach modern workflows and features (including AI/LLM integration where applicable), specifically designing for system uncertainty, error states, and trust signals.

Qualifications and Skills
5+ years of experience as a UX, UI, or Product Designer, preferably handling complex digital products (B2B or SaaS experience is a strong plus).
A proven track record of shipping end-to-end, multi-platform experiences. We want to see your process, your architectural thinking, and how you solve complex user flows.
A genuine passion for privacy and secure communication. You understand how design choices impact user safety.
Practical experience scaling design systems and managing the messy realities of implementation and engineering alignment.
Exceptional ability to articulate design rationale, take a stand on ambiguous problems, and collaborate with technical stakeholders.
Fluent in both German and English (written and spoken).
