IT Data Service Manager

Role and responsibilities

Coordinate operational activities related to data integration services under the responsibility of the DataOps Team Manager, ensuring effective change management, quality assurance, SLA monitoring, and comprehensive SOP documentation. Monitor and track the smooth operation of critical business processes, acting as the primary contact for SLA- and procedure-related topics. Create, maintain, and continuously improve documentation and operational procedures (SOPs) to ensure alignment with internal standards, audit requirements, and applicable regulations. Collaborate closely with IT, production support, and business teams to strengthen governance around data integration processes and ensure documentation is accurate, up to date, and consistently applied. Ensure traceability, consolidation, and regular updates of performance indicators (KPIs) related to SLAs, operational quality, and service reliability. Prepare and contribute to regular service reviews and reporting, highlighting risks, issues, and improvement opportunities. Improve internal team processes by gathering stakeholder feedback, identifying pain points, and proposing optimisations to SOPs and workflows in collaboration with the line manager. Support incident and problem management from a governance perspective (e.g. post-incident documentation, lessons learned, action follow-up). Facilitate effective communication and coordination across teams to support operational excellence and a culture of continuous improvement.

Qualifications and Skills

  • At least 5 years of experience in operational governance, documentation management, service management, or PMO roles within a data-driven or IT/operations environment (e.g. data platforms, integration, production support).

  • Proven experience in managing and monitoring SLAs and SOPs, with the ability to structure, validate, implement, and track procedures across multiple stakeholders.

  • Strong writing, organisational, and analytical skills, with a demonstrated ability to produce clear, concise, and audit-ready documentation.

  • Experience in tracking performance indicators (KPIs), preparing service quality reports, and presenting findings to management and stakeholders.

  • Good understanding of data integration and data platform environments; knowledge of Kafka, Opcon orchestrator, microservice architectures, and REST-based communication is a strong plus.

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders and to facilitate coordination across teams.

  • High attention to detail, rigor, and autonomy in managing tasks and priorities in a dynamic environment.

  • Good command of spoken and written English; French is an asset.
