Senior Manager Product Quality

Role and responsibilities

Own and continuously evolve Sonova's global Critical-to-Quality (CtQ) framework, ensuring its implementation and effectiveness across the entire product lifecycle. Establish and drive global CtQ governance, standards and best practices across product development, manufacturing and service. Lead cross-functional CtQ reviews, aligning R&D, Manufacturing, Supplier Quality and Service around critical quality goals. Ensure end-to-end traceability of Critical-to-Quality attributes from design to manufacturing and service. Integrate CtQ into key quality processes, including Design-, Process-, Service FMEA and Safety Risk Management. Ensure field performance, reliability and customer insights will feed back to CtQs to continuously improve product quality and future product generations. Drive continuous improvement of CtQ methodologies, tools and KPIs. Train stakeholders on how to apply CtQ principles.

Qualifications and Skills

  • A degree in Engineering, Quality, Science or another technical discipline, or equivalent professional experience.

  • Extensive experience in Quality, Product Development, Manufacturing or Operational Excellence within a highly regulated industry, ideally Medical Devices, Aerospace or Automotive.

  • Hands-on experience leading the practical application of APQP, PPAP, FMEA and lean initiatives to improve overall product quality.

  • Strong knowledge of Quality Management System setup g. ISO 9001; experience with ISO 13485, ISO 14971 and IEC 62304 is an advantage.

  • A track record of leading cross-functional quality or continuous improvement initiatives and influencing stakeholders in complex, global organizations.

  • A curious, pragmatic and entrepreneurial mindset, combined with excellent stakeholder management, communication and presentation skills.

  • Fluent English; German is a plus.
