Chemist - Machine-Readable Features Laboratory
📍 Prilly
Role and responsibilities
Contribute to the research, development and optimization of security features, including materials, pigments, and ink systems for machine readable and authentication applications. Perform ink formulation work, including dispersion, stability optimization, and performance evaluation on various substrates. Support the integration of functional security materials into different ink platforms and printing processes. Design and execute laboratory experiments to evaluate feature performance, robustness, and reproducibility. Perform measurements and characterization using a wide range of laboratory equipment (e.g. optical, physical, chemical, functional, or instrumental techniques, not limited to IR/optics). Participate in the validation of new materials, methods, and processes, contributing to industrial readiness. Analyze experimental data, interpret results, and propose technical improvements. Draft technical reports, experimental summaries, and presentations for internal R&D stakeholders. Contribute to technical documentation, including Technical Data Sheets (TDS), feature descriptions, and internal protocols. Support printing trials and customer-related activities, under guidance of senior staff. Actively collaborate within multidisciplinary project teams (chemistry, optics, electronics, software).
