Pflegewegweiser GmbH

Commercial Category Manager – E-Commerce

📍 8600 Zürich

Role and responsibilities

This is a builder's role with a real P&L; attached. You won't be handed a playbook; you'll write it. Own the category economics end to end. Dig into sales data, find the signal in the noise, and turn it into hard calls on assortment, purchasing volumes, and pricing. Your analysis doesn't go into a report — it goes straight into what we buy and what we charge. Scout new suppliers and manufacturers, run the negotiations, and build the long-term partnerships that give us a structural cost and availability edge. Run the ordering engine. Keep the range in stock, competitively sourced, and ready to ship — every SKU, every time. Own vendor and product registration against Swiss import and approval requirements (MiGeL listing, BAG), and keep the documentation airtight. Work shoulder-to-shoulder with procurement, customer service, and leadership, and feed your insight directly into the decisions that move the business.

Team / description

Pflegewegweiser, part of the Entyre Group, is one of the fastest-growing health tech scale-ups across Switzerland and the US — 500+ people, offices from Zurich to Boston, and a mission that actually matters: helping people live independently at home. We get families reimbursed for caring for their loved ones, and we supply them with the homecare products they rely on every day. Pflegewegweiser Shop is a startup inside that scale up. We're building an e-commerce business from zero. That means no legacy processes to inherit, no 40-slide alignment decks, and no waiting three quarters to see your recommendation implemented.

Qualifications and Skills

  • Sharp analytical horsepower — you're fluent in large datasets and spreadsheets and can go from raw data to a defensible recommendation fast.

  • A structured, first-principles way of working and the drive to take full ownership from day one.

  • Comfort in ambiguity — you'd rather build the process than be handed one.

  • Genuine appetite for negotiation and relationship-building; you like closing deals, not just modeling them.

  • German and English (other languages a plus).

  • Experience in purchasing, supply chain, or a comparable e-commerce role.

  • Familiarity with Swiss healthcare and import regulations (KVG, MiGeL, customs).

  • A consulting or strategy background you're now itching to put into operating reality.
