Role and responsibilities

As a Software Systems Engineer specializing in Web Security, you'll help design, develop, and operate globally deployed web security services protecting organizations in more than 180 countries. You'll work at the intersection of software engineering, systems engineering, networking, and cybersecurity, contributing across the entire product lifecycle, from architecture and design through development, deployment, operations, and continuous improvement. Design, develop, and operate highly scalable web security services. Build reliable, cloud-native solutions that operate at global scale. Improve observability, monitoring, troubleshooting, and operational excellence across web security services. Take end-to-end ownership of solutions, from technical concept and implementation to production and continuous improvement. Collaborate with engineers across networking, security, cloud, and platform teams. Help shape the future of web security and cloud-delivered security services.

Qualifications and Skills

  • Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related technical discipline.

  • Strong understanding of networking fundamentals, including TCP/IP, TLS, DNS, HTTP, and HTTPS.

  • Hands-on experience with Linux/UNIX-based systems.

  • Experience working with cloud-native and containerized environments.

  • Strong software engineering skills, with experience in scripting languages such as Python or Bash, and compiled languages such as Go, C++, or Rust.

  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.

  • Proficiency in English.
