Role and responsibilities

As Category Manager – Accessories & POS (New Products & Development), you are responsible for the end-to-end procurement management of the Accessories and POS categories within the new product development process. You ensure that materials, quality, costs, sustainability, and timelines are optimally aligned with brand requirements, regulatory guidelines, and market launches. Responsibility for the ACC and POS categories within the “Procurement New Products and Developments” division. Management of material, quality, cost, and sustainability requirements. Preparation of decision-making documentation for the Head of Procurement New Product & Development. Preparing and ensuring series production approval for all orders. Participating in the development process in collaboration with Product Development. Managing sample, feedback, and approval processes. Independent project management from procurement through product launch. Assessing feasibility, costs, minimum order quantities, timelines, and risks. Working closely with suppliers during development and optimization phases. Serving as the primary point of contact for international ACC & POS suppliers. Maintaining material master data and planning parameters while taking into account sales forecasts for the ACC & POS division. Operational procurement for ACC & POS / inventory management. Optimizing existing procurement processes. Establishing and maintaining supplier relationships, as well as actively seeking out and selecting new suppliers.

Qualifications and Skills

  • A college or university degree, ideally with a focus on business or supply chain OR basic commercial training with recognized continuing education in procurement (e.g., Swiss Federal Diploma in Procurement, CAS/DAS in Procurement, etc.)

  • Experience in purchasing within the areas of category management as well as accessories and POS development, ideally in the luxury, spirits, or tobacco industries

  • Experience with the SAP modules MM and SD (material planning and purchasing)

  • Solid working knowledge of the MS Office suite, particularly Excel

  • Strong communication and negotiation skills, as well as the ability to think holistically, strategically, and solution-oriented

  • Talent for planning and project management

  • Strong aptitude for numbers, analytical and critical thinking

  • Very good understanding of materials and production processes

  • Very good command of German and English; Spanish and other languages are a plus

  • Structured, process- and solution-oriented
