Role and responsibilities
Your mission as Product Manager is to bring structure, alignment, and momentum to maxon's robotics business. You transform market feedback, product strategy, and operational priorities into concrete actions that drive successful robotics products from concept to lifecycle management. As part of our Robotics team, you will be the operational backbone that keeps our growing robotics product portfolio on track. The role sits at the intersection of product management, engineering coordination, and commercial readiness – translating roadmap intent, market input and internal operational needs into structured decisions, clear ownership and measurable outcomes. You will work across robotic drive systems and emerging systems-level initiatives. Maintaining and regularly updating product roadmaps and decision inputs for robotics products; keeping all product-related information and activities clear, current and accessible for product management, business development, sales and engineering teams. Structuring and driving systems-related initiatives into execution by coordinating across development teams, clarifying ownership and converting discussions into concrete next steps and responsibilities. Collecting, structuring and summarising market data, customer feedback, competitive intelligence and application trends to inform product and business decisions; delivering periodic market studies. Supporting lifecycle-related initiatives across the full product lifecycle – including onboarding procedures, repair concepts, or serviceability topics. Participating in selected customer interactions, trade fairs and industry events to gather direct market feedback, represent maxon's robotics portfolio and support product-related technical discussions alongside business development and sales.
