Role and responsibilities

Execute high-throughput chemical reaction screenings, ensuring safe operation, high quality and reliability of experimental results, and complete documentation. Perform reaction analysis using UPLC and other analytical techniques; contribute to method development and troubleshooting as needed. Operate, maintain, and independently troubleshoot HTE and automated lab equipment. Translate reaction conditions into robust HTE plate designs and write/program experimental recipes for automated execution. Collaborate closely with project chemists on experimental design, data evaluation, and interpretation of results. Actively contribute to the continuous improvement of automation workflows and support the evaluation of new technologies, equipment, and digital tools. Support the training and technical guidance of junior colleagues in HTE and automated lab practices.

Qualifications and Skills

  • University degree in Chemistry or Chemical Engineering at Bachelor, Master, or equivalent level

  • Hands-on experience in a chemical laboratory is mandatory

  • Experience with HTE platforms, laboratory automation, or robotic systems is a strong advantage

  • Thorough knowledge of organic chemistry

  • Strong interest in technical challenges and laboratory automation, combined with a proactive and solution oriented mindset

  • Programming skills and an affinity for data handling and statistical evaluation are advantageous

  • Structured and independent working style combined with strong team and collaboration skills

  • Very good English skills for professional communication in an international environment

  • German language skills at a level that allows effective collaboration with German‑speaking colleagues in daily work
