Senior MES Recipe Designer

Role and responsibilities
Configure and continuously optimize MES recipes by translating manufacturing specifications into digital production workflows and batch records used on the shop floor. Collaborate with Manufacturing, Process Owners, Automation, and IT/OT teams to ensure seamless integration between MES and connected systems such as SAP, LIMS, and automation platforms. Develop, test, and maintain MES functionalities using TypeScript, ensuring reliable process execution, data integrity, and compliance with quality standards. Identify opportunities to improve processes, data flows, and system interfaces, driving greater efficiency and automation across manufacturing operations. Provide MES subject matter expertise by supporting production activities, troubleshooting system-related issues, and contributing to the ongoing evolution of MES capabilities.

Qualifications and Skills
Proven experience working with MES systems in a configuration, development, or programming capacity, rather than solely as an end user.
Solid understanding of GMP-regulated manufacturing environments, with the ability to translate production requirements into compliant digital solutions.
Hands-on programming experience in any modern programming language and a strong interest in developing and optimizing manufacturing applications.
Fluent English communication skills are essential to collaborate effectively across global, cross-functional teams.
A proactive and analytical mindset with the ability to identify process improvement opportunities across systems and interfaces; TypeScript, Fill & Finish experience, IT-related education, and German language skills (or willingness to learn) are considered strong advantages.
