Role and responsibilities

Own and continuously improve manufacturing cleaning processes and equipment cleaning strategies. Develop compliant cleaning concepts in collaboration with QA and cross-functional stakeholders. Drive standardization and optimization of cleaning processes across manufacturing assets. Lead CIP/COP improvement initiatives to enhance process robustness and operational efficiency. Coordinate cleaning method development with Manufacturing, QC, R&D;, and QA. Lead cleaning-related risk assessments and support implementation of resulting actions. Support process transfers, manufacturing campaigns, investigations, deviations, and continuous improvement initiatives. Act as the technical expert for equipment cleaning during customer interactions, audits, and inspections. Identify and implement innovative cleaning technologies and industry best practices. Ensure activities comply with GMP requirements and approved procedures.

Qualifications and Skills

  • BSc/MSc or PhD in Biotechnology, Chemical Engineering, Pharmaceutical Sciences, or a related discipline.

  • Strong experience (at least 5-10 years) in biopharmaceutical manufacturing and GMP operations.

  • Expertise in equipment cleaning processes (at least 3 years), CIP (Clean-In-Place)/COP (Clean-Out-of-Place) systems, process improvement, and manufacturing support.

  • Proven ability to lead cross-functional technical initiatives and solve complex manufacturing challenges.

  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.

  • English fluent, German is nice to have
