Role and responsibilities

Leading cross functional teams as a process expert tasked with technology transfers (process design and scale-up) and timely process implementation at manufacturing scale. This includes the whole lifecycle of assigned projects from planning, implementation, control to completion in alignment with defined project goals. Serve as the key interface between the process donor (customer or process development) and operations, to ensure scalability and suitability of the manufacturing processes for commercial-scale production. Securing success during technology transfer by applying procedures and tools to manage the transfer of information, process related risks and change control. Responsible for the resolution of process issues that may arise during manufacturing, considering all regulatory and GMP requirements. Responsible for execution of risk analyses for the manufacturing processes under GMP. Interacting directly with customers and stakeholders during tech transfer, campaign preparation, execution and closure, including daily reporting of batch status and performance. Ensuring timely compilation of process related deviations, change requests and campaign reports. Compiling CMC sections and technical content of validation reports. Develop and implement standardized MSAT procedures and processes. Driving continuous improvements of the manufacturing processes. Evaluating and driving innovative trends within the respective area of expertise.

Qualifications and Skills

  • Master's degree, PhD or equivalent experience is a plus

  • Preferred area of study: Biotechnology, chemical engineering or related subject areas

  • More than 5 years of experience in DSP for the manufacture of APIs or process development

  • Deep understanding of Good Manufacturing Practice of APIs

  • Strong scientific and technical acumen

  • Fluency in English and German

  • Strong leadership skills

  • Very good communication to interact with various stakeholders

  • Structured, focused and well-organized working attitude

  • Open-minded personality with strong interest to learn and grow

  • Agility and high motivation

  • A strong problem-solving mindset
