EHS Manager Large Scale Operations

Role and responsibilities
Serve as the main point of contact for EHS topics and ensure compliance with regulatory and internal requirements. Support and conduct EHS risk assessments, including technical change evaluations. Participate in Safety Gemba Walks, audits, inspections, and incident investigations, providing subject matter expertise. Drive corrective and preventive actions (CAPA) and track progress on EHS initiatives. Collaborate with Safety Coaches, including their selection, training, and ongoing support. Deliver EHS trainings in line with the site’s training strategy and promote a strong safety culture. Support workplace risk assessments, Personal Protective Equipment guidance, fire safety, and emergency response activities.

Qualifications and Skills
University degree (Bachelor/Master) in Pharmaceutical Technology, Chemistry, Process Engineering, Biotechnology, Molecular Biology, Microbiology or equivalent professional qualification
Proven experience in pharmaceutical or chemical manufacturing environments
Swiss safety specialist certification (EKAS, ASGS) or comparable EHS qualification
Strong knowledge of Swiss safety regulations and occupational safety practices
Excellent communication, moderation, and presentation skills
Ability to lead safety discussions, incident investigations, and training programs
High social competence and ability to influence safety culture; German is an advantage
