Corporate Controller

Role and responsibilities

Performing financial analyses, including budget‑to‑actual variance analysis and monthly management fee reconciliations, ensuring transparency and accuracy for decision‑making; Preparing regular and ad‑hoc analyses, deep dives and scenario assessments for internal stakeholders and senior management; Actively supporting the annual budgeting and forecasting process, from preparation through review and execution; Maintaining and continuously enhancing management reporting, with a focus on relevance, usability as well as automation; Supporting the transformation of the existing controlling team towards an AI‑enabled environment, including: Rethinking and streamlining existing processes; Leveraging automation, analytics and AI‑based tools to improve efficiency and insight quality; Collaborating cross‑functionally with IT and business teams to design and implement modern, data‑driven solutions that support smarter and faster data accessibility, management reporting and ultimately decision making.

Team / description

Joining LGT Capital Partners’ central Corporate Controlling team of seven specialists, you will partner closely with finance colleagues across our global offices to support business functions throughout the firm. This position offers a unique opportunity to work closely with business partners across the firm, gaining deep insights into LGT Capital Partners product landscape and business model.

Qualifications and Skills

  • University degree or equivalent higher education in finance, economics or information technology;

  • At least 3 years of experience in a similar role, ideally within the asset management or financial advisory industry;

  • Excellent communication skills in English, with the ability to explain complex topics clearly to both finance and non‑finance audiences. German language skills would be a strong asset;

  • Advanced proficiency in using Microsoft Excel as well as a solid command of the wider Microsoft 365 toolset — with curiosity for modern productivity enablers such as AI‑supported workflows;

  • Proven ability to work with databases and/or multidimensional cubes, and to build scalable reporting solutions (e.g. PowerBI); ideally combined with experience with financial accounting and/or reporting tools;

  • Strong motivation to continuously develop technical skills and thrive in a fast-changing, transformation-driven environment involving automation, process redesign and AI-enabled reporting;

  • Strong analytical mindset with proven problem‑solving skills and a passion for turning data into clear recommendations;

  • Independent, structured and outcome‑focused working style, with the ability to quickly understand and connect business processes and IT/data flows.
