Role and responsibilities

Manage the activities of Safety, Quality, Production and Procurement to provide exceptionally high levels of customer satisfaction; manage in an efficient and cost-effective manner consistent with customer needs and demands. Conduct all business activities with the highest levels of ethical business practice. Our dealings with all principals, customers, employees, and vendors will be above reproach. All our operations will fully comply with the letter and the intent of the laws governing our activities and exceed those standards where appropriate. Provide advice and counsel to the General Manager as a member of the corporation's "Management Team" to develop strategic and tactical plans to enhance the corporation's market position and financial success. Recruit, hire, train, develop, and discipline employees consistent with company standards. Promote a continuous improvement environment to resolve issues and enhance processes leading to improved financial and customer satisfaction. Utilize Komax global resources to improve cost, efficiency, productivity, quality, and asset utilization. Provide management with periodic reports and statements to accurately reflect current operations, trends, and conditions. Conduct personal dealings with all employees to help create a positive and productive team effort between management and all employees.

Qualifications and Skills

  • Bachelor's degree in operations management or equivalent experience

  • APICS certification or equivalent experience is required

  • Five years’ experience in operations of an assembler, manufacturer, or distributor of industrial products

  • Minimum of three years of supervisor/management-level experience

  • Experience in MRP, scheduling, or shop floor control is required

  • Preferable experience with international freight forwarding, customs documentation, import, export, duty drawback, foreign currency

  • Preferable experience in safety at work standards OHSA

  • Experience in ISO 9001:2015

  • Microsoft Office Suite with advanced Excel skills

  • CRM and SAP S/4 Hana ERP experience

  • Personal computer skills in spreadsheets, word processing, and PowerPoint

  • German or Spanish language skills (not required)

  • Exceptional team building, leadership, and training skills

  • Unique ability to relate to office and field workers and management team members

  • High level of personal ethics and integrity

  • Ability to travel in North America, Mexico, and Europe

  • Ability to lift 50 pounds
