Senior Associate - SharePoint Online Engineer

Role and responsibilities

Operate, monitor, and continuously improve SharePoint Online services, sites, hubs, pages, permissions, and related collaboration capabilities in a complex enterprise environment. Troubleshoot and resolve platform issues, localize and isolate malfunctions, and define technical avoidance, remediation, and escalation procedures. Design, implement, and maintain SharePoint Online solutions, templates, navigation structures, and governance controls that support secure and scalable business use cases. Support site provisioning, configuration, lifecycle management, retention-related requirements, and access management in alignment with local policies and compliance expectations. Collaborate with business stakeholders and IT teams to translate requirements into robust SharePoint Online solutions, including automation and integration opportunities where appropriate. Create and maintain technical documentation, operational guidance, and admin-ready standards to ensure service continuity and consistent execution. Contribute to training, knowledge sharing, and Q&A sessions for site owners, content owners, and internal stakeholders to foster effective use of the platform. Qualifications and Skills

  • Higher education degree in computer science, information systems, or a related field (University, HES/ETS) or comparable practical experience.

  • Profound knowledge and multiple years of experience as a SharePoint Online administrator or engineer in complex enterprise environments.

  • Strong expertise with SharePoint Online administration, site architecture, permissions, document management concepts, retention considerations, and Microsoft 365 collaboration services such as Teams and OneDrive.

  • Hands-on experience with SharePoint Online engineering topics such as templates, site structure, content publishing, hub navigation, automation, and service operations.

  • Good scripting and automation skills, ideally with PowerShell and Microsoft 365 administration tooling.

  • Solid understanding of governance, risk, and compliance requirements in enterprise collaboration environments.

  • Committed, independent, reliable, and solution-oriented team player, with a “can do” attitude, welcoming new challenges, and strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

  • Fluency (written and spoken) in English. French and German are a plus.
