EHS Process Safety Manager

Role and responsibilities

Planning, coordination, implementation, control and maintenance of the programs in connection with process safety management at Janssen Schaffhausen in accordance with the Swiss occupational safety laws (EKAS Directive) and the standards of Johnson & Johnson. Knowledge of the Risk Register regarding potential general risks and risks associated with PSM. Responsible for ODH (Oxygen Depleting Hazard) considerations and the corresponding program. Responsible for the inventory of pressurized system & related risk analysis. Member of the API PSM cluster of J&J; EHS and contact person (SME) for PSM aspects/elements. Contact person (SME) for EHS aspects within the API/SM business unit at the Schaffhausen location. Liaison with the competent authorities in connection with risk aspects (e.g. SUVA, etc.).

Qualifications and Skills

  • Compliance with GMP, EHS and SOX requirements and guidelines

  • Create, implement and update risk management work and training documents in compliance with Swiss laws and Johnson & Johnson standards.

  • Planning, coordination and/or implementation of risk analyses (HAZOP/PHA/DHA) in connection with PSM - process risk analyses/plant risk analyses, including definition of necessary measures.

  • Serving as lead auditor within the J&J; global EHS audit process. This includes the implementation of EHS audits in a specialist team at J&J; make locations.

  • EHS Integrated Ownership of Safety Systems (IOSS) Program Owner for Process Safety Management (PSM)

  • Participating in the IOSS meetings and program implementation, including ensuring MA training, compliance with Swiss legislative, JSC / J&J; requirements and coordination of relevant company goals.

  • Coordinate the site PSM Core Team and track progress of the PSM Excellence program implementation

  • Prepare, conduct, support and follow up on audits, assessments and visits related to EHS

  • At least 5-10 years of relevant professional experience in the field of PSM

  • Team-work ability and cross-functional collaboration

  • Very good knowledge of IT applications in SAP and MS-Office

  • You have a thorough, structured, decisive and efficient way of working

  • You are characterized by strong communication and coordination ability

  • Good knowledge of German and English, both spoken and written
