Role and responsibilities

Join our team to help shape the next generation of Accelerator Mass Spectrometry (AMS) systems. You will work hands-on with high-end instrumentation, collaborate with international researchers, and apply your physics expertise in real-world scenarios.

Your tasks:

  • Develop, optimize, and test AMS systems and related equipment

  • Calculate and simulate ion optics for particle systems

  • Perform on-site commissioning and acceptance testing worldwide

  • Train customers on the use of AMS instruments

  • Provide technical support

  • Represent Ionplus at scientific conferences

  • Write scientific publications and technical documentation

Ionplus is an ETH Zurich spin-off with over 30 years of experience in radiocarbon and AMS technology. Based in Dietikon (Zurich), we build innovative instruments used by leading research institutions around the globe.

Qualifications and Skills

  • PhD in Physics, preferably in ion beam or particle physics

  • Several years of professional experience, ideally with AMS or ion optics

  • Strong communication skills and willingness to travel

  • Fluent in English; German is an asset
