Manager (IT) - EY Parthenon - Strategy & Execution

Role and responsibilities
Work on projects spanning the entire transaction lifecycle (IT due diligence, carve-outs, integration planning, day-1 readiness, exit readiness). Lead IT strategy engagements linked to performance improvement and value creation initiatives. Translate business strategy into actionable technology recommendations and implementation plans. Manage projects end-to-end, including budgeting, risk management, and client delivery. Build and maintain strong client relationships and ensure high satisfaction with deliverables. Contribute to business development (pitch preparation, client meetings, proposal development). Support practice growth initiatives and help strengthen the team’s positioning in the market. Mentor and coach junior team members, supporting their development and contributing to recruiting and training.

You will join our Strategy & Execution team, working across the full transaction lifecycle - from IT due diligence to integration, separation, and transformation programs - helping clients navigate complexity, reshape portfolios, and create sustainable value. In a fast-paced, international environment, you will collaborate with cross-functional and multicultural teams to solve complex business and technology challenges, linking IT strategy with business outcomes and driving tangible impact for leading organizations.
Qualifications and Skills
Applicable industry and/or consulting experience related to transactions, M&A; or IT strategy and transformation projects
Proven experience in pre-deal Technology Due Diligence (Tech DD), including assessment of IT landscapes, identification of risks and value drivers, cost estimation (TSAs, separation/integration), and preparation of client-ready reports under tight timelines
Have a broad range of IT experience including infrastructure, applications, databases and networks or a deep understanding of one or more core aspects of a typical IT function
Program and project management expertise and a familiarity with industry standards such as e.g., ITIL or TOGAF
Excellent analytical skills and the confidence to translate complex data into meaningful insights
A track record of successful project delivery in corporate businesses where you are responsible for managing project team members and vendors
Experience in building strong working relationships with senior clients, including influence, advice and support to key decision makers
Experience in supporting sales and business development processes for professional services projects in a large-scale consulting environment
Demonstrated aptitude for quantitative and qualitative analysis
Bachelor's degree and approximately 10 years of related work experience; or a Master's/MBA degree and approximately 7 years of related work experience
A degree in business, accounting, finance, engineering, computer science or related field
Outstanding communication and presentation skills, both verbally and in writing, in English and ideally in German and/or French
Ability and willingness to travel
