Digital Sustainability Services team - Manager/Senior Manager

Role and responsibilities
Lead client engagements focused on the design and implementation of sustainability technology solutions. Advise clients on target architectures, operating models and technology roadmaps for ESG data, reporting and performance management. Drive projects involving Microsoft solutions such as Power Apps, Power Automate, Dynamics 365, Fabric, Power BI, Azure and Microsoft OpenAI and Copilot capabilities and adjacent technologies from other software vendors. Experience with AI-enabled solution design, including the use of Copilot, Azure OpenAI, intelligent automation, document extraction, knowledge retrieval, or agent-based workflows. Experience shaping or contributing to AI architecture for enterprise use cases, including topics such as orchestration, security, access model, integration patterns, and human-in-the-loop controls. Support the translation of business and regulatory requirements into solution design, process flows, data models and functional specifications. Lead workshops with business and technology stakeholders to define requirements, prioritize use cases and align on delivery approach. Oversee solution configuration, testing, deployment and business adoption. Manage project teams, coach junior colleagues and ensure high-quality deliverables. Contribute to business development by shaping proposals, client pitches, points of view and go-to-market offerings. Build trusted relationships with senior client stakeholders across sustainability, finance, procurement, operations and IT.

At EY, the Climate Change and Sustainability Services (CCaSS) team seeks to shape the future with confidence by helping businesses respond to societal, environmental, and economic challenges. We help businesses understand and evaluate the broader value impacts and outcomes associated with their organizations, operations, programs, and projects. Our global team is multidisciplinary and combines our core knowledge in accounting and reporting with knowledge in technical and regulatory sustainability issues. Our teams help clients improve the credibility of their ESG (environmental, social, governance) reporting and integrate sustainability aspects in business processes, including supplier management, climate & nature strategies and labor rights.
Qualifications and Skills
A Bachelors or Masters degree in technology/engineering, ideally in combination with environmental sciences/engineering, sustainability or related/equivalent fields of study
Interest in topics such as sustainability, climate change, human rights, biodiversity and non-financial reporting & assurance, as well as training in these areas
Experience in climate change services, human rights or in financial or non-financial audit
Ability to work independently across multiple engagements with overlapping deadlines
Agility to learn and adapt on the job, ask the right questions and strive for the best solutions for clients are a must
Strong project leadership, stakeholder management and business development capabilities
5-10+ years of relevant experience gained in consulting firm
Good understanding of the broader Microsoft stack, including Power Platform, Dynamics 365, Fabric, Azure, Power BI, Copilot and Azure OpenAI services or adjacent technologies from other software vendors
Proven ability to lead workstreams or end-to-end projects in complex client environments
Strong understanding of data, process and systems integration topics
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
Experience developing proposals, managing teams and contributing to practice growth
University degree in business, technology, engineering, sustainability or a related field
Professional proficiency in English (written and spoken) is a requirement, German or French is a plus
