Role and responsibilities

Evaluate technological trends and their industrial application as a basis for strategic decisions. Develop actionable strategies and specifications for implementation based on your assessments. Provide technology consulting for digitization and IIoT with a focus on customer requirements in process industries. Support development and sales activities and offer training as an expert on utilized systems and technologies. Moderate working groups to harmonize internal company standards, guidelines and specifications. Represent Endress+Hauser in international standard development organizations and committees. Manage and maintain the patent portfolio of Endress+Hauser Digital Solutions in collaboration with the Endress+Hauser Group’s patent office. Coordinate third party patent assessments and support patent checks as part of the product launch clearance process. Organize patent training and idea workshops to foster the creation of intentions and patent applications.

Qualifications and Skills

  • Hold a degree in engineering, preferably complemented with practical experience in product and/or technology management for industrial process automation.

  • Bring at least 7 years of professional experience.

  • Have strong knowledge of fieldbus technologies and field device integration in process industries, ideally combined with an understanding of plant lifecycle workflows (planning, commissioning, maintenance).

  • Have experience with intellectual property, ideally in patent processes, portfolio management or collaboration with patent offices.

  • Are able to translate technology trends into strategic direction and actionable concepts for digitalisation and IIoT.

  • Have strong communication and stakeholder management skills, with experience moderating interdisciplinary or international working groups.

  • Communicate fluently in German and English.

  • Are willing to travel internationally, approximately 10% of the time.
