Role and responsibilities
Lead the evolution of marketing into a future-ready, technology-enabled function that delivers personalized, data-driven customer engagement at scale. Define and implement a strategic roadmap to modernize marketing capabilities, processes, and talent across the marketing organization. Anticipate future skillsets and organizational needs, pilot emerging technologies in real-world use cases, and partner with global and regional brand teams to redesign workflows that maximize impact and scalability. Enable the shift to an autonomous marketing function that learns and adapts. Champion agile pilots with learn-measure-scale loops accelerating transformation across global and affiliates. Build marketing capability frameworks for AI fluency, upskilling, trust, ethics, and data stewardship. Work with OEC and privacy to ensure digital trust and ethical considerations in AI systems as required for pharma compliance. Establish data governance to manage marketing tools/processes supporting consistent yet flexible experiences. Report transformation KPIs through a global executive dashboard.

Qualifications and Skills
Master’s/MBA preferred, emphasis in life sciences, tech, or marketing
≥12 years large-matrix pharmaceutical/CXO environment (global + affiliate); ≥5 years leading digital/MarTech transformation
Experience in emerging markets preferred; Pharma experience a plus but not required
Experience in successfully applying insights and research to drive business decisions
Technical skills: MarTech & analytics platforms (Salesforce, Veeva, Adobe), GenAI, data architecture (Synapse, Delta Lake); AI-human workflows
AI proficiency, marketing automation, data privacy GDPR/HIPAA; Agile
Winning mentality, “can-do” attitude, innovative, customer focus and cross-functional team player
Result-driven, like hands-on work, pragmatic
Ability to influence cross functionally in a matrix organization
Ability to demonstrate strategic and systematic anticipation and planning
