Assistant Manager Individual US Tax

Role and responsibilities
Help our clients successfully manage global challenges as a (Assistant) Manager in the Global Employer Services (GES) team by providing multi-national companies with targeted advice and strategies for running Global Mobility programs in an efficient manner. Coordinate our global tax compliance services including liaising directly with clients and Deloitte offices worldwide. Review and sign US individual income tax returns for US resident and nonresident taxpayers, including Forms 1040, 114, 8938, 1116, 2555, 8858, and other forms specific to US residents with activities outside the United States. Review and sign tax reconciliations and tax equalization calculations and lead various other tasks related to the successful delivery of Global Mobility programs for our clients. Oversee the completion of tasks and quality of the work done by junior members of the team. Interpret and implement International Assignment Policies and ensure consistent global tax treatment of various assignment compensation items and allowances. Advise our clients on the tax and social security implications related to various global employment issues including tax residency, avoidance of double taxation and the taxation of complex compensation such as severance payments, long term and short-term incentive income.

Qualifications and Skills
You have successfully completed your Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Economics, Accountancy, or Law.
You have 5 years+ US tax experience/knowledge and hold relevant qualification (e.g. EA, CPA, etc).
Experience in global mobility or a “Big-4” firm is a plus.
You are curious to find answers, take the initiative and are happy taking on responsibility and like to work in project teams with a systematic approach.
You communicate fluently in English. Any further languages would be an advantage.
