Team Leader - Subsystems Engineering

Role and responsibilities
You lead and develop the members of the Subsystems Engineering team by supporting employees, developing and allocating competencies, and ensuring effective team organization. You estimate the effort and budget required for Subsystem Owners’ tasks related to projects, serial changes, and problem-solving activities. You are responsible for quality, consistency, and timely delivery of development activities and deliverables for the team, while monitoring budget status. You are responsible for operational stability, prioritization, and coordination of all Subsystem Owner activities across development and series support. You own and develop the subsystem knowledge management system, including failure modes, validation and design guidelines. You lead and support 8D problem-solving activities and ensure the capitalization of lessons learned. You are responsible for correct definition of Subsystems DVP&R; for new projects and serial changes. You act as the first-level escalation owner for technical issues, project conflicts, and supplier-related issues, while supporting Subsystems Owners, Project Management, and the Sales department in discussions with suppliers and customers. You report to various stakeholders, such as the Department Leader and the Technical Core Team.

Qualifications and Skills
You have successfully completed a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, specializing in internal combustion engines and powertrain engineering
You have strong experience and expertise in combustion engine development, subsystem development and validation (DVP&R;), a broad understanding of engine subsystems, as well as project management
You have an excellent command of English and French
You have an excellent command of MS Office
You possess proven technical and disciplinary leadership skills, along with strong potential for further development
You are able to manage conflicts and escalations effectively, demonstrating strong communication skills within cross-functional teams
You are a highly resilient professional with a strong sense of responsibility, capable of working in high-pressure environments while remaining mindful of costs, resources, and strategy
