Engine Remanufacturing Design Engineer

Role and responsibilities
You act as the technical interface between Liebherr Ettlingen and Liebherr Machines Bulle to support coordination, alignment, and knowledge exchange for all remanufacturing topics. You ensure the consistent integration of remanufacturing requirements throughout the product development process. You design, document, and maintain remanufacturing products and components including CAD models, technical drawings, BOMs, and PLM data, while meeting technical, cost, quality, and schedule targets. You work in close cooperation with interdisciplinary internal departments and suppliers to ensure technical alignment, clarification, and co‑design for remanufacturing applications. You establish and continuously improve remanufacturing engineering processes through guidelines, best practices, and effective knowledge management to ensure efficient remanufacturing development.

Qualifications and Skills
You have successfully completed engineering studies in a relevant field
You have previous experience in combustion engine design
You bring strong technical expertise in combustion engines (diesel required, gasoline and/or hydrogen is a plus) and a basic ability to interpret simulation results (1D, CFD, FEA, NVH…)
You have advanced proficiency in IT tools, including MS Office, PTC Creo, and PLM Albatros, as well as basic knowledge of ERP systems
You are autonomous, innovative, goal‑driven, and comfortable working in an international environment
You are able and willing to travel regularly to Liebherr Ettlingen, approximately once per month
You are fluent in English and German, and ideally in French
