Senior Scientist, Perfumery, Laundry Detergent

Role and responsibilities
Lead and deliver laundry detergent perfumery innovation and troubleshooting projects with high autonomy and accountability. Act as a key technical expert and support fragrance creation ensuring optimal compatibility and performance of fragrance in detergent bases. Work directly with clients to understand their technical needs and to provide clear. Support and drive innovation development through design, validation and implementation. Provide expert technical troubleshooting for launched products, working directly with clients to quickly diagnose issues and deliver reliable solutions within tight timelines. Coach and guide laboratory technicians to ensure high-quality and efficient experimental execution. Support intellectual property (IP)–related processes and activities. Collaborate closely with cross functional teams, including Science & Research, Marketing, Sales, and Technical Development.

Qualifications and Skills
A university degree in Chemistry (Analytical, Organic, Physical, or related field) (minimum Master)
At least 5–8 years of hands-on experience in formulation, ideally in laundry, home care, or fragranced consumer products.
Strong knowledge of analytical chemistry, particularly in GC MS and LC MS/LC MS MS techniques, and/or expertise in formulation development and characterization (e.g., rheology).
Proven experience working on fragrance–base interactions, including identifying and solving instability or compatibility issues.
Exposure to or strong interest in perfumery chemistry and fragranced products
Experience in direct client interaction, with the ability to communicate clearly and confidently.
Experience with data management tools or methodologies is an advantage.
A collaborative mindset combined with creativity, solution-driven, hands-on, resilient and strong communication skills.
Fluency in written and spoken English (minimum C1 level); proficiency in French is an important asset.
