Design, planning, conduction of laboratory and scale-down model experiments related to process optimization for manufacturing processes of plasma-derived biopharmaceuticals. Assisting in transfer of process changes from R&D; to pilot plant and production scale. Perform statistical data evaluation and write study reports. Collaborate with other CSL internal departments, for chemical / biochemical characterization of manufacturing processes as well as investigation on product impurities in scale down experiments.

Degree, preferably Master in Bioengineering, Biochemistry, Chemistry or corresponding qualification based on work experience in a relevant field.
At least three years of experience and training in a relevant technical discipline e.g. in protein purification methods (e.g. precipitation, ion-exchange and affinity chromatography, UF/DF, depth filtration)
Experience in development of manufacturing process for large biopharmaceuticals
Experience in Development of process scale-up and/or scale down models, DoE methodologies
Team player with good verbal and writing communication skills in English and German
