Senior System Architect - Finance & Credit

Role and responsibilities
You design and are responsible for the solution architecture for applications in delivery. You ensure that your solution architectures in delivery adhere to architecture standards and are aligned with the target architectures of the domain. You raise and manage architecture debt when there is a misalignment between transition and the target architectures. You initiate architecture decisions, document them as Architecture Decision Records (ADR) and have them approved by the relevant architecture boards. You advise and coach software engineers on the implementation of solution architectures and ensure technical feasibility. In addition to architecture design, you also support later phases of the software lifecycle, such as testing, release and operations.
Team / description
You are a member of the System Architects team within global IT Architecture. Together with your colleagues from the Domain and Foundation Architecture teams, you are responsible for designing Solution Architectures.
Qualifications and Skills
3+ years of experience as a senior architect, 5+ years of experience as a lead or senior software engineer
Responsible for solution architectures: from design and implementation to operation
Ability to identify options for solution architectures and make trade-off architecture decisions
Experience with SAP solutions, especially S4/HANA, BW/HANA, BTP
Good understanding of Financial Accounting, Management Accounting
Knowledge of IFRS and Swiss GAAP in financial service industries
Analysing complex business requirements and translating them into technical solutions
Ability to abstract complex topics and focus on the key issues that need architecture decisions
Collaboratively develop and coordinate solutions with business and technology stakeholders and architecture colleagues
Proactive mindset, able to work under pressure and meet deadlines
Proven experience in solution design and knowledge of current architecture styles, such as event-driven, microservices, modular monolith
Excellent communication and presentation skills
Fluency in English (verbal/written), German is beneficial
