Role and responsibilities
Support due diligence and conduct oversight processes by carrying out reviews, checking documentation, and verifying compliance with internal policies and procedures. Assist in preparing clear and accurate reports, dashboards, and summaries using tools such as Excel, PowerPoint, Power Bi and Tableau to share findings with Compliance and business teams. Analyse client and operational data to spot potential risks, trends or areas needing further review or escalation in the area of Employee Compliance. Work closely with colleagues from different levels and across different teams to collect information and support coordinated compliance efforts. Maintain and enhance standardized workflows, templates, and tracking tools to ensure consistent and efficient processes and support strategic positioning of the teams mandate. Keep updated on important compliance topics, regulatory changes, and internal policy updates related to conduct risk. Contribute ideas for improving processes, controls, and ways of working, including automation opportunities.
Team / description
For our Employee Compliance Team within Central Compliance, we are looking for a Junior Compliance Specialist to join our team. The team is responsible for the Conduct Framework, monitoring and promoting effective governance and ensuring highest standards of Compliance across our operations.
Qualifications and Skills
Academic background in Banking, Financials Law or Business Administration, or a related field
Solid understanding of banking operations, gained through prior experience in private banking, compliance, or audit in financial services
Advanced proficiency in Excel, Power Query and data analysis; experienced in structuring, cleaning, and interpreting datasets
Strong competence in PowerPoint: ability to translate complex information into clear, visually compelling slides and summaries
Proficiency in Tableau and Power BI is highly desirable
Experience in reporting, process coordination, or compliance support roles is highly desirable
Exceptional organisational skills, precision in execution, and strong attention to detail
Natural collaborator with a can-do attitude, capable of thriving in a matrixed environment with multiple stakeholders
Eager to learn quickly, take initiative, and grow within a purpose-driven compliance function
Fluent in English (written and spoken); knowledge of German and other languages is an advantage
