Account Manager, Iberia market

Role and responsibilities

Supports the RM and team in client interaction in all respects. Responds to incoming calls and takes prompt action. Maintains and updates records of client instructions, details, and preferences. Creates system-based reports for the RM. Provides clients with verbal and/or written information and data, giving neither advice nor any statement of opinion as value judgement. Processes orders, trades, transactions, payments placement (outside e-channels) and handles and executes clients’ requests. Organises and follows up client meetings, including logistics and document preparation. Supports the RM in investigations and troubleshooting, maintaining close bank-internal cross-team/unit collaboration. Full adherence at all times to compliance, legal guidelines, internal rules, regulations and policies. Acts as the first line of risk defence, through raising concerns, following up on issues and escalating as necessary.

Qualifications and Skills

  • Excellent organisational skills, able to work swiftly, independently within the Assistant RM scope and accurately even when under pressure

  • Proactive, friendly, team player and solution-oriented

  • Impeccable presentation and communication skills

  • Strong integrity, ethics and risk awareness combined with solid client-focused mindset

  • Foundational knowledge of financial markets: structure, function and legal/regulatory environment as well as industry awareness

  • Strong fluency in Spanish and English (oral and written)

  • Very good MS Office skills
