Senior Solution Architect – SAP Finance & Banking Solutions

Role and responsibilities
Support the design and implementation of data sourcing and integration related solutions centred around Finance applications (including Financial Acc, Management Acc, Reg reporting, Treasury). Develop holistic target pictures covering applications, data flows, interfaces, and infrastructure components. Ensure architectural coherence across domain — Finance, Treasury, and Core Banking Systems. Support robust integration architecture support for Finance applications connecting SAP and non-SAP systems. Enable seamless interoperability between core banking platforms, trading systems, risk engines, reporting tools, and group-wide ERP landscape. Define data sourcing, mapping rules, and harmonisation approaches within Finance applications (i.e. SAP S/4HANA or BW) based on data received upstream. Collaborate with Data Governance teams to ensure integrity, lineage, and compliance. Support development of real-time and batch data replication mechanisms. Support Architectural aspect with regards to data migrations from Core Banking and Markets applications to SAP and other Finance applications. Oversee data cleansing, validation, cutover planning, testing support. Work closely with project managers, functional leads, DBAs, and developers during all phases of project lifecycle. Act as trusted advisor to business stakeholders in Finance, Controlling, and Treasury units. Translate business needs into technical designs through collaborative requirement analysis.

Qualifications and Skills
8+ years' experience as a Solution Architect in SAP Finance implementations within financial services
Knowledge of Temenos is considered a plus
In-depth understanding of key SAP Finance modules, including: Financial Accounting and Regulatory Reporting, Cost Centre Accounting (CCA), Profit Centre Accounting (PCA), Segment Reporting, Treasury Operations, and Data & Integration concepts
Strong knowledge of integration principles, along with hands-on experience in data migration, cutover planning, and testing methodologies
Solid understanding of banking-specific finance processes such as General Ledger management, COA, reconciliations, Net Interest Income (NII) calculation, and Management as well as regulatory reporting
Advanced expertise in SAP Finance and established system integration patterns
Demonstrated business acumen, particularly in relation to banking and financial control processes
Solid capabilities in data sourcing and migration activities
Strong interpersonal and stakeholder engagement skills, supported by excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities
Effective communicator, capable of explaining complex technical topics to diverse audiences across technical and business functions
Self-motivated, adaptable, and able to perform successfully in fast-paced and continuously evolving environments
Fluency in English (verbal/written)
