Role and responsibilities
Product Strategy, Roadmap & Lifecycle: Own and drive the definition and implementation of the global product structure and roadmap for digital service solutions, ensure alignment with the broader digital ecosystem, and manage the full lifecycle including business cases, profitability, customer KPIs, and measurable customer value and business impact. Market & Competitive Intelligence: Continuously analyze market trends and competitors to strengthen our positioning and identify new growth opportunities. Commercialization & Product Marketing: Translate technical capabilities into customer-centric products, develop high-quality product and marketing materials, and define sustainable pricing models for external revenue streams. Requirement Engineering (Edge-to-Cloud): Capture, structure, and prioritize requirements from customers and stakeholders, and translate them into actionable specifications for development teams. Sales Enablement & Support: Enable global sales teams through training and workshops, and support complex tenders and bid processes to ensure successful product positioning in the market.
Team / description
As part of our Digital Solutions department within the Service organization, you will drive the digital transformation of the rail industry. Your focus is on the commercialization of data-driven products, transforming vehicle data and sensor insights into scalable value propositions for our external customers. You will act as the entrepreneurial owner of products in our "Intelligent Fleet" product group (e.g., Condition-Based Maintenance), ensuring that our innovations succeed in the global market.
Qualifications and Skills
University degree (Bachelor/Master) in Engineering (Electrical, Mechanical, Mechatronics), Computer Science, or Business Informatics
At least 5 years of experience in Product Management with a proven track record in digital products, software platforms, or data-driven solutions
Solid experience in agile product development (Scrum/Kanban) combined with modern product discovery approaches
Ability to translate complex technical systems into clear customer value propositions and business cases, including the creation of marketing materials and confident stakeholder presentations
Full professional proficiency in German and English (negotiation level)
