Business Analyst Taxes H/F

You will play a key role in the design and functional / technical architecture of solutions, acting as the bridge between business needs and IT implementation in a hybrid environment combining Mainframe / Cobol and Java applications.

Your responsibilities will include:

Gathering, challenging, and formalising business requirements with a strong focus on solution design Defining functional and technical specifications, with an emphasis on architecture impacts and end-to-end consistency Contributing to the definition of target solutions, application flows, interfaces, and data impacts Assessing the impact of new requirements on the existing application landscape, particularly Cobol and Java components Working closely with development teams in Portugal and other stakeholders to ensure robust and scalable designs Supporting testing phases, including integration testing and UAT, and helping resolve defects from a design perspective Contributing to continuous improvement, simplification, and optimisation of business and application processes

You will join the Finance / Taxes team, composed of around 20 employees in Switzerland, and work closely with teams based in Singapore and Portugal.

This team operates in an international, demanding, and collaborative environment where solution quality, architectural consistency, and delivery reliability are essential. You will work on strategic topics at the intersection of business, technology, and application design.

• Master

• Higher education degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related field.

• Additional training or exposure in solution architecture, application design, business analysis, or project management would be a strong asset.

• 6 - 10 ans

• You have solid experience in a complex environment, ideally within banking or financial services, with a strong focus on solution design, functional analysis, or application architecture.

• You have experience translating business needs into robust, scalable, and well-structured solutions, and you are comfortable working across technical and functional domains.

• Experience in Java ecosystem, especially in the context of hybrid application landscapes.

• Minimum English level: B2.

• Ability to analyse complex business needs and translate them into coherent solution patterns

• Strong understanding of application impacts, integration flows, and data dependencies

• Ability to define and document clear functional and technical specifications

• Good understanding of end-to-end system behaviour and architectural consistency

• Strong coordination skills across business, IT, and distributed teams

• Interest in project management and Agile methodologies

• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to interact at different levels of seniority

• Strong synthesis skills, structure, and prioritisation capabilities

• Autonomous, rigorous, persistent, and reliable

• Ability to identify the most efficient path to reach an objective, with a focus on process and data

• Strong quality mindset and service orientation

• Knowledge in a Cobol / Java environment

• Strong interest or experience in solution design and functional / technical architecture
